Consensus Council is excited to announce the launch of the new Restorative Practices Council (RPC) website — a dedicated hub for training, tools, and resources that support restorative approaches across North Dakota.

In 2024, North Dakota’s Juvenile Justice State Advisory Group and the Central Regional Education Association partnered with Consensus Council to establish the state’s first Restorative Practices Council. The RPC was created to strengthen how schools and justice systems respond to youth behavior — focusing on repairing harm, building accountability, and reducing unnecessary system involvement.
The new website makes it easier than ever for educators, justice professionals, and community partners to access practical resources, learn about upcoming trainings, and explore how restorative practices can create more supportive environments for young people.

The North Dakota Restorative Practices Council (NDRPC) has received a $15,000 grant from Life Comes From It to support the development of restorative practices training materials for North Dakota schools. While NDRPC is already developing a statewide implementation guide through an existing grant, this funding will help translate that guidance into practical training tools and facilitator resources for educators. These materials will support schools in strengthening relationships, improving school climate, and implementing restorative practices more consistently.
Together, we are building stronger relationships, healthier systems, and better outcomes for North Dakota youth.
